Westcountry Spice Company is celebrating the rise of its new range of sauces and marinades after its Malaysian stir fry won a gold at the Soil Association Organic Food Awards. Completely selling out at its subsequent launch, the product has become a huge hit with members of the public who are reinforcing the official decision in droves and confirming their confidence in the company’s spicy fare with their taste buds, and wallets.

Leading food writers, experts, top chefs and restaurateurs including Raymond Blanc, Sophie Grigson, Giles Coren and Darina Allen were amongst the panel of judges who appraised over 1,000 entries in 29 categories by blind tasting, taking into account taste, smell, texture and appearance.

Chris Carnegie, managing director of Westcountry Spice Company was presented with his prestigious gold, one of only 24 awarded overall, for the best in the ‘soups and cooking sauces’ category by celebrity chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.

All of our curry products have been certified organic by the Soil Association. All products are wheat free, Gluten free and we have even removed salt from most of our recipes.
